My name is Bríd Stack and my area of expertise is Ladies football having played Senior Intercounty with Cork for fifteen years. During my career, I was fortunate to be part of a very successful team that won eleven Senior All Ireland titles in the space of twelve years as well as being crowned Team of the Year by public vote in 2014. Individually, i was fortunate to have played every minute of all eleven All Ireland finals. I was awarded Player of the Match in two of those All Ireland finals, as well as winning seven Senior All Star awards, Munster player of the year in 2012 and Overall Ladies Football Senior Player of Year in 2016.
I have done numerous forms of broadcast media for the Ladies Gaelic Association over the years, including television, radio, podcasts, launches and live debates.
I was asked to come on board with RTÉ in 2019 and again at the start of 2020 as an analyst for The Saturday Game/The Sunday Game live programme. This involved both TV and radio coverage of various GAA fixtures during the league and championship. I was delighted to be asked to be a studio analyst for the Munster Final between Cork and Kerry in 2019. If only the result went our way!!
I have done numerous radio contributions and interviews with 2FM's Game on and Newstalk's Off the Ball over the last two years.
I have completed the Women on Air training programme as well as The Learn to Lead programme with the Ladies Gaelic. In this programme, I participated in the PR strand and learned alot from highly qualified mentors and speakers.
I'm a secondary school teacher of PE and Maths in Carrigaline, although currently on a career break to focus on our family run business Mycore Supplements. It is a sports and health supplements business based in Bishopstown but predominantly online. In March 2020, we branched into gym equipment and accessories. Thankfully it has gone from strength to strength since we set it up in early 2017 and we supply numerous Intercounty and club GAA teams around the country.
Finally, in early November 2020, I will be travelling with my husband and son to Sydney, Australia to play AFLW with the GWS GIANTS for the 20/21 season. I am very fortunate to have been offered a one year contract to play professional sport with the club which would bring me up to May 2021. It is a dream come true to not only get the chance to play professional sport but to be able to experience it with family. I've alot to learn but I'm looking forward to the challenge and the adventure.
