I'm Associate Professor and former Head of the School of Art History and Cultural Policy, where I specialise in Irish art history, visual culture, museum/heritage studies and cultural policy from the 19th c. - present. My full research profile is here: https://people.ucd.ie/emily.mark. My particular scholarly expertise is on the Irish famine; photography (especially early photography & colourisation); Irish art history; commemoration, monuments and public art. I also work extensively with the heritage & performing/visual arts sector, and can speak on topics related to Irish heritage & museums, cultural policy (including employment/internships in the arts), and visual / performing arts. I also run the Arts Management & Cultural Policy website http://www.artsmanagement.ie, and frequently comment on cultural policy and arts sector developments in the media. I'm happy to field enquiries in my areas of expertise, or help identify colleagues with appropriate expertise in related areas.
