My name is Jean O’Sullivan and I am a Consultant in Emergency Medicine. I lecture in Emergency Medicine at Trinity College Dublin and RCSI.

I am also the Medical Director of a non profit organisation called Global Emergency Care Skills, that provides medical training to doctors and nurses in Africa. (www.gecs.ie). In 2021 I was awarded the William Rutherford Humanitarian Award from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.

I have a diploma in Forensic & Legal Medicine and have been an expert witness in Medicolegal cases including medical negligence, personal injury litigation and criminal cases for the past 11 years.

In university, I used to present a current affairs radio show on Cork Campus Radio and firmly believe that diversity in media is so important to truly reflect the population. I also have recent media experience as a patient advocate.

I am available for commentary on Emergency Medicine, Trauma, Global Health and Medicolegal matters, and have experience providing commentary for TV, radio, print and online media.
