Prior to 2016, worked in hospital and community pharmacy, business development and entrepreneurship.

Elected to Dublin City Council in the Rathgar-Rathmines ward for Fine Gael. Served on the Regional Health Forum and the South-East Area Committee. Key area of focus was retaining fluoridation of public water supply against populist arguments for its removal. Fostered an interest in hazards of populism based social policy.


Prior to elected politics worked as a community pharmacist having established a group of retail pharmacies starting in 2007 in South Dublin.

Postgraduate programme completed in The Surrey and Sussex NHS Trust in the UK.


Former tutor with The Royal College of Surgeons Dublin 10 years of active training of pharmacy interns.


Registered pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland. Director of OP4 Consulting LTD providing agile professional advice in area of pharmaceutical and business policy.
