A former journalist, Lindsay is the author of seven books: the Wulfie series (four books for 6-9+) with Little Island Books (2020-2022), novels Dad’s Red Dress (2017) and The Angelica Touch (2018), and Ireland’s first comprehensive character-driven screenwriting guide, Write That Script! (2018). As a playwright, she has had 14 plays produced in Ireland and UK, and one radio play on BBC4.
Working cross-genre as a screenwriter for 20 years, her award-winning series PUNKY was recognised as the first mainstream cartoon series in the world in which the main character had special needs (Down’s syndrome).
She has run courses and masterclasses for various organisations, universities and festivals, including the Irish Writer’s Centre, Filmbase, and DCU. She currently lectures on screenwriting at undergraduate and postgraduate level in NUI Maynooth, where she was Screenwriter-in-Residence in 2016-7. She is currently adapting Dad’s Red Dress as an eight-part TV series with Tailored Films.
