Food writer and co-host of the Dublin-based food podcast SpiceBags, which won Best Podcast at the Irish Food Writing Awards. The aim of SpiceBags is to report on the rapidly growing international food scene in Ireland.
I have written for Saveur, Lucky Peach, Gilttaste, Gourmet, the Irish Times, the Irish Independent, and the Sunday Times. In terms of radio, I have spoken on Pat Kenny, Ray D'Arcy and Sean Montcrieff. I have also cooked on Ireland AM, held workshops, and taught two semesters of food writing at Yale University.
My journalism has won the James Beard MFK Fisher Award, two International Association of Culinary Professionals awards, and Best Writing on International Cuisine at the International Food and Wine Association.
What makes me passionate is food in context. Who is making that dish, what is its history? In terms of broadcasting, I am keen to project not just my voice but those of others.
